Winners of The Big Cat Tournament- Nov. 21-23, 2003

Jamie Courtney welcomed all to the 1st Hill's Landing, Summerville Marine, Big Cat Fishing Tournament where there were 2,933 lbs of Santee catfish successfully caught and released. He said that Summerville Marine, Owner, Mr. Dan Muckenfuss regretfully would not be able to make it for the awards so he was going it solo. He continued to say how pleased he was with the 35 early entries with a total of 39, and joked that it made it easier for him to sleep at night- being his first tournament. He expressed appreciation at seeing all the women( not just a bunch of old smelly fish guys) and children- although he wished there were more youth entered.

After the anticipation of handing out the awards he thanked everyone for coming. One fisherman on the top of the hill said he wanted to thank Jamie for a well- run tournament. All on the hill agreed and everyone applauded, shook hands, and shared with the person standing beside them what a good time they had.

Jamie is constructing a wall plaque with photographs to be displayed inside the restaurant.
